Happy birthday to me... and Castlevania! We were both "released" in September 1986 (me in Virginia, Castlevania in Japan).
I don't have the cartridge, so I played it on an emulator. It was extremely difficult to remind myself to not use the spacebar for jumping.
I've never played Castlevania before, so I didn't have any nostalgia or muscle memory or anything attached to it... so it was kind of meh.
