The Rules

1. I will play a different game every day for a year.
(The year is August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2018.)

2. I will not count more than one day on any given game.
(Example: I will probably play Pokemon Go every day, but I will only count it once.)

3. Different versions of the same game, expansions, and different platforms count as different games.
(Example: Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe are different games.)
(Example: Ticket to Ride Europe and Ticket to Ride Europe with Europa 1912 expansion are different games.)
(Example: Wheel of Fortune on TV, NES, and DS are different games.)

4. I can "play along" with TV or radio.
(Example: Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me all count.)

5. Fictional games can be played using fan rules.
(Example: True American and Cones of Dunshire are games made up for TV shows (New Girl and Parks & Rec respectively), but I can pick a set of fan rules and play by them.)

6. Games will be played as intended.
(Example: I won't play a multiplayer board game like Betrayal at House on the Hill by myself and say that I played it. I also will give every game a fair shake: five minutes of Pokemon Blue does not really count as "playing" it.)

7. I won't make up "games" just to satisfy the requirements.
(Example: I won't claim that "who can answer the most questions at work today" or "guess why the cat is yowling at me" are games.)

8. I will post at least once for every game/day on Instagram.
(I might not post for every game/day here on the blog, but I will post when I think of it, have the time, and want to.)

9. Whenever possible, I will play games that I already own or can easily borrow from others.
(This means that if someone makes a suggestion of a game I should play, it would be really helpful if they're willing to loan it to me. Otherwise, this year is going to get ridiculously expensive.)

10. This is supposed to be FUN. If it becomes a chore, I quit. If it starts annoying everyone else, I quit. This also means that none of the games are intended to be uncomfortable, inconvenient, or dangerous.
(Example: If I play games like Never Have I Ever, it will be in the spirit of lighthearted fun, not an attempt to bare souls and scar people for life.)
